HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna has conducted Emotional Literacy programme for the students who has been receiving monthly educational assistance from the project ‘Education Support to economic crisis & war affected poor children – Funded by Caritas Korea’ on 31st of October 2023 at HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna upper hall.
Sixty-five (65) students from Kaddaikadhu, Manatkadhu, Punkuduthivu, Kudathanai, Kayts, Mandaitivu, Navanthurai and Jaffna participated.
Revd. Fr. S. Eugene Francis, Director, HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna gave the Programme Introduction and the Motivational speech for the students.
Dr.S.Sivathas, Psychiatrist, Jaffna Teaching Hospital attentively captured the children by his talk and presentation. Students aged from 13 to 19 participated in the programme. Mr.Andre, the CPS worker performed a few social circuses for the children and Mr. S.G.Baskaran supported him.
The programme was organized by Ms. Nithila Mariampillai, Programme Manager and supported by Ms.Dorin Kawsalaya, Finance Officer. The National Centre, SEDEC-Caritas Sri Lanka secured funds for this project for the second year from Caritas Korea. We take this opportunity to thank them.
